Just after takeof at Essex Skypark. As you can see, the leaves havn't started to turn yet down here in Maryland. |
Passing by Carroll County Airport. I haven't been there in a long while. The airport restaurant closed.
This was the transit portion of the flight so I was up relatively high.
Pottstown is always easy to spot because of the twin nuclear reactor cooling towers.
West of the New York Class B, I saw a contact via ADS-B coming in below me. I looked down and there was this 737 jet!
Passing by New York Stewart International (KWSF), a big towered airport just west of the Hudson River.
A closer look at New York Stewart.
The Newburgh-Beacon Bridge crosses the Hudson.
The Hudson River Valley was shrouded in fog. But I had a hunch that Sky Acres, my fuel destination, would be clear since it was higher elevation. I tuned in their Unicom freq and sure enough heard a plane depart fromSky Acres Airport.
There is Sky Acres (44N). All clear.
Turning final for runway 35 at Sky Acres. What a difference the position of the sun makes when taking aerial photographs.
